Astrological Countdown Watch
Report No.: ANOM Ar11009 Date: April 17, 192- Submitted by: Field Agent Benjamin Hale Category of Anomaly: Relic Type of Anomaly: Mechanism Location: Arkham, Massachusetts
Summary:
A watch which can possibly be set to count down the time toward a given alignment of the stars.
However, the presumed “time” seems to be a particularly impossible cosmic event. Sinister. The clock is composed of three arms, one which curves at the end and a series of horoscope-inspired visuals paired with other occult symbols, and yet also tells the time. A vexing find, to be sure.
Mechanical principle unknown.
The watch is running, but there does not appear to be a way to wind up. Perpetual motion???
Annotated diagram attached overleaf:
Astronomical and astrological symbols. Do the hands indicate celestial alignments?
On the main face, each hand moves both clockwise and counterclockwise at different times. No pattern to the changes of direction discerned,as of now.
The hands on the smaller face to the left have not moved since the object’s discovery.
The hand on the smaller face to the right has moved slightly counterclockwise over the course of a week.
The speed suggests the divisions are months.
Does that make the other face an indicator of a year?
