Dexter Drake: The Cost of True Magic

If you joined us for the Week of Arkham Horror, you’ll have heard the exciting news that a new core set is coming for Arkham Horror: The Card Game, ushering in Chapter Two for the game, and the city of Arkham. Among the Investigators readying themselves for this new era is Dexter Drake, the Magician.  

After his time fighting in the Great War, Dexter is no stranger to calamity and horror. As Arkham recovers after a disastrous flood, Dexter searches for his true place as a performer of magic in Arkham’s ever-transforming nightlife. However, his curiosity, quest for fame, and desire to set aside parlor tricks for true magic might be his ultimate downfall. 

Hungry for knowledge of the beyond but still unsure if he is willing to pay the cost, Dexter fills the role of the Mystic. Today, Fantasy Flight Games is kicking off the Mystic Reveal Season, with previews of the Mystic cards from the new core set coming to community websites over the next few days. And, to whet your appetite, we’ve got a first look at Dexter’s deckbuilding options and requirements below…
