This past weekend saw Gen Con, North America’s largest tabletop gaming convention, wrap up for another year, and the four days of the show in Indianapolis brought a host of announcements, awards, and other happenings in the world of Arkham Horror. In case you missed any of it, we present this round-up.
Opening the Vault
Fantasy Flight Games announced the launch of their Vault series, re-releasing classic games in exciting new ways. The first title in the series, announced at Gen Con, will be a Remastered edition of the classic Arkham Horror 2nd Edition board game. ENNIE Awards
As in past years, the ENNIE Tabletop RPG Awards took place at the show. Arkham Horror was represented with nominations for Terra Antarctica in both Best Adventure – Long Form and Best Production Values categories. And Edge Studio, publishers of Arkham Horror: The Roleplaying Game, also found success in the Best Family Game category, where they picked up a win for Dungeons & Kittens.

That wasn’t only the news for Arkham Horror: The Roleplaying Game, with both the Big Book of Battle Mats for Arkham Horror: The Roleplaying Game and a brand-new setting guide, Songs of New Orleans, previewed at the show. Children of Blood on the Horizon
If you were at the show, you might have been lucky enough to pick up a pre-release copy of Children of Blood, the first small campaign expansion for Arkham Horror: The Card Game. If you weren’t, the campaign goes on general release August 14, and we’ll be building up to it between now and then here on ArkhamHorror.com.
