2025 on ArkhamHorror.com – News and New Releases

2025 on ArkhamHorror.com – News and New Releases

It’s been a big year for Arkham Horror – perhaps the biggest in a while – with major events like The Drowned City, the announcement of a forthcoming new core set for Arkham Horror: The Card Game, and a whole host of new releases across the RPG, the card game, novels, and more besides. So, as part of our look back at 2025, today we’re rounding up all the news and new releases from a year in the world of Arkham Horror.

Cthulhu comes to Arkham

Early in 2025, The Drowned City campaign swept through Arkham, bringing with it a new Investigators Expansion, the eponymous Campaign Expansion and a trilogy of novels. Most horrifyingly, though, the events saw the most famed and feared Ancient One of them all awaken from his slumber in the deep and head for Arkham… The city – and the world of Arkham Horror – are still reeling in the aftermath, and you can catch up on all the news around The Drowned City in our round-up feature.

After the flood, come the flames…?

Back in October, in the run-up to Halloween, Fantasy Flight Games hosted and curated Week of Arkham Horror, a week of… well, you get the idea. The week of news, announcements, livestreams and other activity culminated in the announcement of a new chapter for Arkham Horror: The Card Game, and a brand-new core set coming next year. Catch up on the announcement here and find all the other news from Halloween and the Week of Arkham Horror in our round-up.

Getting out of the city

If it feels like a good time to be getting the heck out of Arkham (and when doesn’t?), this year’s premium adventure for Arkham Horror: The Roleplaying Game takes players to the other side of the world – or Terra Antarctica, as both the place and the campaign are known. The adventure was accompanied by a set of 3D printable miniatures from Loot Studios, and if you’re looking to do your research before heading to the South Pole, you can take in some Correspondence on the Planned Expedition, digest an appraisal of the expedition by the mysterious Foundation, read the Journal of Ship’s captain Sima Khatri, and check out our lore article on the City of Elder Things.

And if Antarctica seems just a little too far to go this winter (it’s summer there, though…), then EDGE Studios have obliged with Dreams of Kingsport, a new setting guide for Arkham Horror: The Roleplaying Game. Follow the links in our release article to check out a series of in-depth previews from the designers.

Coming in 2026…

And there’s more to come next year, with releases already announced including an Eldritch Horror video game, more adventures for Arkham Horror: The Roleplaying Game, a new Investigators Gamebook, and an Isabelle Barnes novel from Aconyte Books to accompany the new core set for Arkham Horror: The Card Game, with much more to come. Join us in early 2026 for a look ahead to the coming year in the world of Arkham Horror…

What to Read for Hallowe’en

For many around the world, Hallowe’en ushers in a season of cold, dark nights – a time to be indoors, playing games, reading and watching TV. (And if you’re in Australia, reading has the advantage that you can still do it on the beach.) So, as part of the Week of Arkham Horror, we bring you […]
