Dexter Drake Investigators Gamebooks Download

Dexter Drake is back in a big way. Returning to Arkham in this year’s Core Set for Arkham Horror: The Card Game, he stars in his own novel, The Cost of True Magic, and makes waves in Arkham’s entertainment district with a bedazzling new show at the Top Notch Club. And now he’s ready to take on solo adventures, too, with this brand-new Investigator profile for the Arkham Horror: Investigators Gamebooks.

Dexter’s profile is free to download, and can be used with any of the books in the series – The Darkness Over Arkham, The Tides of Innsmouth and The Kingsport Metamorphosis. You can download the character sheets below, with Dexter’s profile – including his skills, abilities, weaknesses, and a certain well-known starting item – already filled in. Dexter’s character sheet is available as a full-color bookmark, a printable PDF, and an interactive PDF, where you can track and update your progress on your mobile device.

Dexter is a powerful and versatile investigator, able to manipulate keywords and items, but one who faces a heavy cost in Doom and Sanity. Dexter shares some similarities with Agnes Baker, so if you want to try him out, The Darkness Over Arkham is a great place to start. Dexter’s ability to pull an item out of his hat just when he needs it offers a powerful boon for The Tides of Innsmouth, which features a number of relics of the sea, but his tendency to accumulate Doom makes him a challenging choice for that adventure – ideal if you’ve played the Tides of Innsmouth before and want to test your decision-making. Dexter’s ability to manipulate keywords and acquire a key item has some echoes of Lola Hayes, from The Kingsport Metamorphosis, although with more of a focus on willpower to guide your progress through the adventure, making for an interesting alternative there, too.

And remember, there’s a host of other investigators, with character sheets free to download here. Like Dexter, all of these investigators can be used with any book in the series. Good luck!
