Previously on Arkham International…

Bureau of Investigation Agent Roland Banks and Black Chamber spy Trish Scarborough refuse to believe a mere storm was responsible for damaging large swaths of Arkham and plunging Rivertown underwater. The government reported it as a natural disaster, but Roland and Trish think that’s a convenient cover up. They need to know what really happened.

When they realize their investigations point to the same source—a mysterious antiquities dealer in Arkham named Randall Tillinghast and his so-called “Pilgrims of the Drowned City”—they decide to work together. Chasing whatever unlikely leads they can uncover sends them around the world in search of answers.

Yet someone higher up doesn’t want them poking around. Their superiors call them off, but Roland and Trish refuse to relent in their pursuit. Soon, they find themselves accused of leaking sensitive information and selling state secrets. Warrants go out for their arrest. But they’re so close to answers, the pair decides to risk everything rather than let the mysterious mastermind get away. They follow Tillinghast’s trail to an abandoned warehouse in Kingsport, which is almost certainly a trap, but one worth springing if it means bringing the man to face justice.

Attacked by a monstrous creature that defies description and proves impervious to bullets, they barely escape with their lives. Thanks to two Foundation agents who have been shadowing them all along, Roland and Trish emerge relatively unscathed. Now, Roland and Trish are the Foundation’s newest recruits, working for Commissioner Qiana Taylor. Because someone needs to stop the next Arkham disaster from happening, and the monsters are already rising again…
